All About Me
My business started in 2017 when I discovered a passion for crafting in the run up to our Wedding. After 17 years together, my now husband accepted my proposal. Little did he know, but this would spark a hive of creativity and 18 months of furious crocheting, something which I had not been doing for very long. Hundreds of hours later (with a little help from my mum) all of the bouquets, buttonholes and decorations were ready for the big day, along with copious amounts of Tablet for the favours! The very next day I wondered what on earth I would do with all of this (or at least everything that hadn't been taken away by our guests, as we strongly encouraged them to do). I spotted an advertisement looking for local handmade goods to be sold at a village fayre, and there began my love affair with arts and crafts events and a deep appreciation of local artisan makers.
Since then I have explored many different crafts and have been particularly drawn to Needlefelt Art. I have developed a unique artistic style which I love to share with others. Whilst much of my time is spent creating imaginary seascapes, I also enjoy the flora and fauna of the Scottish Highlands which I am so lucky to call home. Working with fabrics, fibres and products sourced locally and within the wider UK, I make a wide range of gifts and homewares inspired by the beauty and colours that surround me.
Once created, I photograph and upload my images to Photoshop and, using a process called sublimation, print these images onto a wide variety of products which you can buy today.
